Abela & Co. LLC is a proud winner of the Dubai Quality Award based
on the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Model and
is the first company to be awarded the HACCP certification in the
UAE for its compliance with the Codex Alimentarius and local food
safety regulations.
Abela & Co received the CSR Label from Dubai Chamber - June 2012
On the 10th of June 2012, Abela & Co received the CSR Label from Dubai Chamber-Center for Responsible Business, in recognition of its efforts in developing a sustainable business through engaging and positively impacting the communities, workplace, market place and environment in which it operates. In our Taste Buds special edition published for this occasion, our CEO, Mr. Abed Hannawi stated:
“This award is a result of our commitment over the years to everything around us; our involvement as a Company in community activities, in protecting our environment, caring about the well-being of our staff and together with our partner suppliers and clients, working to make our community a better place.
This wouldn’t have happened without the involvement of all Departments and Locations at Abela & Co and the army of dedicated and caring volunteers that is increasing each day, working with the Dubai Environmental Group, Rashid Pediatric, Al Noor Center, Can Collection, Employee Activities, Family Day, Reducing Waste, Working on Health and Safety issues, Promoting Healthy Habits, Stressing Partnerships with Suppliers and Clients, and promoting equal opportunities for all employees in the company.
